Pogo to kick off Sherlock Holmes series on 4 June

MUMBAI: Pogo is set to introduce a Monday night mystery block with the launch of live action series The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes which will kick off on 4 June at 8 pm.

Granada's The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes reunites Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke as Holmes and Watson, a partnership acclaimed as definitive by critics and public alike. Set in an Edwardian era, the series brings six brand new cases yet to be solved.

Theatre and television artist Tom Alter will lend his voice to the character of Sherlock Holmes, accompanied by film, theatre and television personality Aanjjan Srivastav as Dr. John Watson, states an official release.

 

Produced by Michael Cox, the show will be available both in English and Hindi feeds.

Turner International India, Pvt Ltd VP Advertising Sales and Networks, India and South Asia Monica Tata said, “In keeping with Pogo’s strategy to provide the best live action programming, we are happy to launch, The Casebook of Sherlock Holmes as part of the new mystery genre on Monday nights.

"To ensure that the series resonates with all age groups, the dialogues of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson have been scripted keeping in mind the characters and their unique personalities. To make it further relevant to the Indian audiences, Pogo is delighted that Tom Alter and Aanjjan Srivastava, are the voices for the Hindi adaptation of the lead characters in the series.
