BANGALORE:
Raksha Group's (RG) subsidiary Morphosys Information Services
(MISPL) has started work on a 3-D animation film titled Honor
and country. RG CMD Rajesh Kumar announced this at a curtain
raiser event in Bangalore yesterday.
The
140-minute long film is based on Indian history. The first
half races the period from 1492 to the 1857 mutiny. The second
part covers the period from 1857 to 1950.
The film is likely to be in theatres by 15 August 2008. MISPL
plans to double the existing headcount of 60 people and expects
to complete production within a budget of Rs 60 million.
Marketing
and distribution plans are still to be crystallized. "Hyper-realistic
in its appeal, the movie will feature computer graphics that
are closest you can get to reality," he said. MISPL was
formed in January 2007.
Another
animation project that MISPL is likely to start soon is a
90 to 100 minute long film tentatively titled Castles of
the light hunter which will have an Indian storyline.
MISPL
is also working on mobile gaming and Kumar wants to bring
back old Indian games such as gulli danda on this platform.
MISPL
plans to cater to the virtual assistance needs in all areas
of business environments and in the fields of 3D animation,
visual effects, virtual assistants and research and development.
