Nick kicks off 'Chaddi Buddy' contest, to premier 'Fundoo' music video

MUMBAI: Nickelodeon has lined up a slew of activities this week, prime amongst them being the 'Chaddi Buddy' contest which kicks off today.

To participate, viewers watching the channel between 5pm to 6pm on weekdays, have to spot Spongebob and Patrick, Munnabhai and Circuit, Batfink and Karate, Drake and Josh and call or SMS how many times they have spotted them in the hour.

The lucky winner gets the chance to introduce Spongebob SquarePants and Patrick in a fun-filled interaction to meet all his buddies in school. Viewers who spot the most number of times during the week will be eligible to win Nick goodies, CD players and MP3s.

The channel is also set to premier its Fundoo Music Video on 25 July. Starring Mona Singh, SpongeBob SquarePants and Nick Fundoo superstars Dhruvil Mandalia, Harshit Mudgal, Ishita Agarwal and Manvi Rawat, the music video promises to take kids on a complete joy ride. The song for the music video has been written by Swanand Kirkire and composed by Vishal Shekhar.

The Nick 'Fundoo Superstar contest' was a four- week promotion conducted by Nick that culminated with 4 lucky winners from India. The four winners were chosen from an estimated 4, 03,204 entries that the channel received during the duration of the contest.

Nick India VP and GM Nina Elavia Jaipuria said, "At Nick we have always aimed at creating properties that bring a smile to the children's faces and providing opportunities for friends to enjoy special moments and cherish them. The 'Chaddi Buddy' contest will culminate with the big friendship day bash where the winner gets a chance to share his moments with Sponge Bob and Patrick along with all his friends at school."

Speaking about the music video she said, "The Nick Fundoo Superstar video is a true reflection of Nick's philosophy that all kids are superstars in their own right, Nick is their space and all they have to do is be themselves."
