Bhaskar Group launches kid's English magazine 'Young Bhaskar'

MUMBAI: The Bhaskar Group has launched a fortnightly children's magazine in English titled Young Bhaskar.

Young Bhaskar is targeted at 'Gen Next' comprising 8-16 year olds. The 40-page magazine covers current issues, stories, contests and jokes. It is priced at Rs 3 and will be available across Bhaskar markets.

The launch was followed up by a series of print, radio (MY FM 94.3 Dil Se) and SMS campaigns. In a unique survey, school kids were asked 'if they would be interested in reading Young Bhaskar, and were asked to send SMS'. More than 5,000 SMS' have been received till date, states an official release.

Bhaskar Group national head - circulation Tejinder Khurana said, "We are sure that 'Young Bhaskar' will cater to the mass desire of being comfortable with the language at the very young age. When our team met parents they were really interested in a product that will be fun and educational at the same time."

Bhaskar Group associate vice president Sanjeev Kotnala said, "Once again we have proved that Bhaskar group is ever open to new markets and newer opportunities."

A month ago the group launched a Hindi children's magazine Bal Bhaskar.
