MUMBAI: Anurradha Prasad’s B.A.G Films today announced
its financial results for the quarter ended 31 December 2006.
Net profit was up 33 per cent at Rs 12 million while revenues
were up 20 per cent to Rs 109 million.
The company has a presence in the programming, films and
new media business segments, besides running a media school.
During the quarter, B.A.G launched two new shows - Ankhiyon
Ke Jharokhon Se on Star Plus and Yeh Vaada Raha on ARY Channel,
Dubai.
B.A.G’s movies report card was quite disappointing though
with “Zindaggi Rocks”, starring Sushmita Sen, and
directed by Tanuja Chandra, proving a monumental flop. The
company also released Punjabi film “Mannat” during
the quarter.
