MUMBAI: Nokia has once again delayed the launch of its mobile gaming service N-Gage due to delays in software testing.

Nokia unveiled the service in August with plans to make it available globally in November. However, in November the company said it was delayed till December. Now it looks like N-Gage will be available only in January 2008.

"We found one more issue which had to be solved before we could open the service," said Nokia spokesperson Kari Tuutti.

The mobile phone company had hoped to join the gaming service with a music shop and a mapping service, and released it under its new Ovi brand. The company has signed up Vodafone, Telefonica and Telecom Italia for Ovi.

Nokia is the first handset maker to move strongly into the content space with services like music or filing sharing site Mosh, where millions have downloaded audio or video files, programmes or documents.
