MUMBAI:
Star Gold's Idea Sabsey Favourite Kaun 2008 has announced
the winners across seven categories.
While
Shah Rukh Khan has been chosen as the Sabsey Favourite Hero,
the Sabsey Favourite Heroine award has been shared by Rani
Mukherjee and Katrina Khaif.
Deepike
Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor have bagged the Sabsey Favourite
Nayi Heroine and Sabsey Favourite Nayi Hero, respectively.
Speaking
on the event, Star India VP marketing and communication Prem
Kamath said, "Idea Sabsey Favourite Kaun has emerged
as a true barometer of an actor's popularity as the winners
are chosen solely by their fans. Indian cinema has such an
immense impact on the lives of people, and this is evident
by the overwhelming response we have received year after year."
Om
Shanti Om has been given the Sabsey Favourite Film award.
 The
event saw dazzling performances by Katrina Kaif as she performed
to the tune of songs from her recent films Partner
and Welcome. Shahid Kapoor engrossed the audience with
his superb performance which included a medley from his latest
hit, Jab We Met and Fool and Final.
Shilpa,
Tanya and Chitrashi performed on the songs from their blockbuster
movie, Chak De India. Further, young Bollywood fans
enthralled the audience with performances on a medley of songs
from the movies of their Sabsey Favourite Stars.
All
nominees and winners of the Idea Sabsey Favorite Kaun 2008,
have been chosen by fans from across the world, making it
an opinion poll where winners are honoured for their popularity
and not performances in a particular film.
The
voting process for the awards covered 30 towns in India and
over 60 countries internationally.
