Shemaroo inks 10-movie satellite rights deal with Zee

MUMBAI: Shemaroo Entertainment has inked a satellite broadcast rights with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (Zeel) for Rs 260 million. As per the deal, Zeel has acquired the satellite broadcast rights for 10 Hindi films.

The films include Indra Kumar's Dhamaal, Priyadarshan's Dhol, Navdeep Singh's Manorama Six Feet Under, Robby Grewal's Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar, Anurag Singh's Raqeeb, Goutam Ghosh's Yatra, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's Anuranan (Hindi version), among others.

Shemaroo Entertainment VP content syndication Vinod Karani said, "We are really glad to be associated with Zee, for the various satellite delivered rights of these popular movies. Content syndication involves a lot of thought and planning, keeping in mind the nature of content and the platform of syndication."

Shemaroo Entertainment director Hiren Gada said, "As a large content aggregator for broadcast platform, it has been our effort to bring the best of content on various broadcast platforms."
