Bharti Telesoft acquires Jataayu software

MUMBAI: Bharti Telesoft, integrated VAS solutions provider for mobile operators announces the acquisition of Jataayu software, a pioneer of WAP and mobile handset applications. The acquisition is a part of Bharti Telesoft's growth strategy on strengthening its service offerings in new and existing markets.

 

Jataayu's wholly owned subsidiary in the USA and offices in the UK, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea will also be added to Bharti Telesoft's existing operations across Africa, Middle East and the Asia Pacific regions. Bharti Telesoft will now have a presence in 14 countries worldwide says the official release.

 

Bharti Telesoft CEO Manoranjan Mohapatra commented on the acquisition, "The WAP, MMS and IMPS capabilities of Jataayu will position us more favorably in the market by enhancing our offerings for the customer. Overall, our customers are going to benefit from a wider portfolio of offerings and advanced research and development strength."

Jataayu's current management team will continue to work within the combined company and Mahesh Jain, Jataayu's MD will continue in an advisory role for the coming year.
