Cricket Australia relaunches broadband channel ahead of India's tour

MUMBAI: With the Indian cricket team kicking off their tour of Australia next week Cricket Australia and Premium TV/Inform Group have re-launched Cricket Australia’s official broadband TV channel CATV (http://www.cricketaustralia.tv/) for the 2007-08 cricket season.

 

Local fans who have been waiting for this clash will have free access to the service that includes daily highlights from both international and interstate fixtures.

Fans will have access to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from this year’s Australian player camp.

CATV will also feature post-match press conferences and coverage from many of the public and promotional events the team takes part in this summer.

 
Premium TV/Inform Group, who designed, built and manage the site, will also provide the production services for CATV including live streaming of international matches in certain overseas territories, and the production of match specific highlights.

Furthermore, Premium TV/Inform Group will manage selected commercial services for Cricket Australia, including strategic marketing of CATV services to international fans outside of Australia.

Not only can fans of Australian cricket follow on-pitch action, but also behind-the-scenes footage, player interviews and coverage of press conferences”.

Cricket Australia GM cricket marketing services Mike McKenna says, “Cricket is constantly looking at new ways to connect its fans with the game and its players. CATV is a dedicated TV channel for Aussies at home and abroad who can’t get enough of Australia’s favourite sport.”
