MUMBAI: Moneycontrol.com has extended its 'Markets on Mobile' service to Blackberry users. The application allows investors to keep a track of the market trends.

"Moneycontrol.com's 'Markets on Mobile' has managed to engage over 100000 users in its very first month of launch," claims an official release.

The service offers features such as news, markets statistics, indices, portfolios, detailed listings of stocks and watchlist real-time.

Besides the 'Portfolio Service' allows users to check their investments in stocks, funds and other investment vehicles. The 'Company Stock Quote' page is where users find out the current positions on a stock.

Web 18 CEO Surya Mantha said, "This application was specially developed by us keeping in mind the modern-day investor who is always on the go but, still wants to keep a track of his/her investments and market trends. We have now decided to provide this application on Blackberry handsets too. Going forward we expect this user base to only increase as the GPRS services get cheaper and more and more of our loyal Moneycontrol.com visitors upgrade to Blackberry-enabled handsets".
