MUMBAI: The fourth Pogo Amazing Kids Awards for the
year 2007 has honoured 8 kids among 24 finalists.
The
event was held in Mumbai on Friday and the awardees
were chosen through a voting poll with kids' across
the nation.
Aamir
Khan as a host marked his first presence in any Pogo
award function. Pogo's hosts Niall, Chinu and Rob, along
with Darsheel, the lead child star in the film Taare
Zameen Par, also co hosted the Amazing Kids Awards with
Khan.
Pogo had an environment friendly theme Go Green for
the awards this year, in association with Project Green
Hands.
Pogo
has promoted Kalpavrishka a tree planting drive
with all 24 nominees becoming its brand ambassadors
for spreading the message within their schools.
The
concept of Go Green and ecological sensitivity was woven
into each and every element of the set. Celebrities
A R Rahman, Johnny Lever, Amrita Arora, Urmila Matondkar,
Chak De girls, Diya Mirza also joined in and gave environment
friendly messages.
