MUMBAI: Cartoon Network and Smashing Ideas, US's independent developers of Adobe Flash-based digital media, has joined hands to develop and distribute mobile games, animated screensavers and wallpapers across North America. The first product of this partnership will be a games channel consisting of two games on Smashing Idea's BREW application, Smashing Games.

Smashing Ideas will distribute the content through carriers supporting Flash Lite content. Cartoon Network New Media senior director of advanced platforms Ross Cox said, "Our games channel extends the type of immersive gaming experience our fans expect from Cartoon Network onto the mobile platform and serves as a launching pad for groundbreaking original titles created in Flash Lite."

The two games available at launch will be an aerial daredevil adventure titled Codename: Kids Next Door-Flight of the Hamsters, and a frantic puzzler dubbed Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends-Mac's Match-Up. Also in development is a Ben 10 game and other titles based on popular Cartoon Network properties.

Smashing Ideas have offices in Seattle, Portland and in the UK and claims of creating more than 350 online games for multiple platforms including PC, IPTV and Mobile.
