MUMBAI: BBC children's channel CBBC's hit animated series Skunk Fu! has been acquired by Cartoon Network Europe and Disney Latin America. UK intellectual property owner and developer Galleon Holdings announced the sales.

Skunk fu! will now be broadcast to a global audience across all major continents of Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, Africa and Latin America.

"Very few TV brands have such a wide cultural appeal and with leading broadcasting positions in excess of 165 territories, Skunk fu! is in a strong position to generate revenue in 2008 and allows us to discuss multi-territory deals in some key categories", " said Galleon's CEO Stephen Green.

Skunk fu!, created by Aidan Harte, is an animated comedy action adventure for kids aged 6-11. Skunk is a western kid learning Kung Fu from a wise old Panda in China, so that he can help the resistance fight against the evil Dragon and his army of Ninja Monkeys.
