MUMBAI:
Amrita TV is looking to introduce three new programmes in
September.
This
will include two reality shows including a talent hunt Oxywash
Best Actor and Super Dancer Pure Gold and a
family drama Sandhya Lakshmi.
Oxywash
Best Actor, which kicks off on 3 September, has been positioned
for weekdays at 9:30 pm.
The
programme format encompasses the entire gamut of cinema, theatre,
television, acting styles and modelling.
20 participants in the 18-35 age group were shortlisted to
undergo a three day acting workshop at Trivandrum, moderated
by theatre and film personalities. The contestants who will
compete with each other hail from Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai
and Kerala.
As
part of the grooming sessions, the contestants will be visiting
acting /theatre schools in the country. "Well known actors
from the field of films, theatre will be conducting training
modules for contestants," the company said in a release.
The elimination and advancement of contestants to further
rounds of the reality show will be based on public SMS voting.
The winner of Oxywash Best Actor will get a trip to
Hollywood, apart from getting an opportunity to act in a Malayalam
movie. The second prize is a Suzuki Alto sponsored by Duroflex.
Another
weekday show, Sandhya Lekshmi is slotted for 6.30 pm
and will also begin on 3 September.
It is a family oriented drama which revolves around the friendship
of two girls whose life undergoes a transformation once they
get married.
While for the weekend, Amrita TV will air Super Dancer
Pure Gold from 8 pm to 9 pm. The show starts on 1 September.
This
programme showcases the best moments of Super Dancer,
along with a freshly choreographed dance number in every episode.
