In
its recommendations on Licensing Issues
related to DTH, Trai has also recommended
multiple dwelling unit technology for DTH
and sought liberty in certain rules relating
to licensing.
Meanwhile,
Information and Broadcasting minister Priyaranjan
Dasmunsi told Parliament today that the
rate of Rs 5 per channel set down by Trai
for conditional access system (Cas) was
fixed on various criteria and was not found
to be exorbitant.
