Data (Asia) MD Raymond Kang said, "We
believe Select Technologies is the ideal
master distributor for our RDX QuikStor
as they have a reputable image in the IT
distribution industry in India. RDX QuikStor
is the only backup technology that offers
the best of tape and hard disk at a small
price. We are seeing a significant demand
and sales growth of RDX QuikStor in India
now and this MOU with Select Technologies
came in timely to better address the demand
as well as capturing more sales leads across
the Indian cities."
Select
Technologies business head Sunil Pillai
added, "Entry-level drives comprising
of the DAT, DDS & DLT technologies,
cater to 45 per cent of today's Tape Drive
solution market. Our enterprise customers
are looking for a single
intelligently managed data storage solution
and we anticipate that RDX QuikStor, with
the simplicity of a tape based backup and
the speed and flexibility of hard disk storage,
will soon replace competing tape solutions
in the market."
Tandberg
RDX QuikStor cartridge capacity ranges in
40, 80, 120, and 160GB and future generations
will follow the roadmap of 2.5 inch mobile
hard disk drives. Select Technologies and
Tandberg Data Asia will be working closely
to kick start a series of launches and promotions
for RDX QuikStor. Both companies are positive
that the synergies of this partnership will
yield beneficial results for each other.
