MUMBAI: Hungama TV which joined the Disney bandwagon
from the UTV stable on 12 December, is looking to ramp
up activity on the channel after a lull period during
the first quarter of the year from January to March.
To kick off on a big start, the channel will launch
a 'fantasy adventure' live action local series about
an outlaw on 3 June. In this respect, the Captains presented
their views on the character acceptance, look and feel
of the show after reviewing the pilot episode. Thus
the Hungama TV Captains are playing a significant role
is crafting the story plot for this show by garnering
views across the specific age groups in their respective
cities.
The
reason for this the channels lack of activity, Hungama
TV head of programming and production Aparna Bhosle
opines that after the high activity witnessed with John
Aur Kaun, the first three months of the year saw a large
number of repeat telecasts as there the new launches
for shows were stalled.
For most acquired shows from Japan, the content providers
needed clarity on the transformation of the channel
following the Disney buyout. But now the channel has
passed that teething phase of new ownership and is set
to go the whole hog with fresh shows and activities.
