Alok Shetty's 'Road to America' wins jury award at Al Jazeera docu fest

MUMBAI: Alok Shetty directed Road to America won the Jury award for direction at the third Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival.

Road to America was an independent entry.

The festival concluded after four days of screening 128 films from over 60 countries. Winners in four other categories were announced at a closing ceremony at the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Centre.
Meeting Resistance directed by Steve Connors and Molly Bingham won Best Film in the Long Film category. The New Horizon Category awards went to Voices of Shadows directed by Ahmed Elkady.
