Big FM acquires music copyright from PPL, T-Series & Yashraj Music

MUMBAI: Big 92.7 FM, with 17 operational Stations, has announced signing formal agreements with the music industry's top three Bollywood music copyright owners namely Phonographic Performance Limited, T-Series and Yashraj Music. With this latest initiative, Big 92.7 FM is the only FM Station to have entered into a formal agreement all these three major bodies for all categories of cities for which FM licenses have been given out - category A+, A, B, C & D. With these associations, Big 92.7 FM will now be able to provide music mix, spanning across various eras to all its listeners across the country.

PPL, T-Series andYashraj Music are key copyright owners of Bollywood music and have always produced good music for the Indian audience. Whether it is a bouquet of timeless melodies or current contemporary hits, these music labels have always effectively marketed and distributed their music. Following on the heels of the music agreement sign up, Big 92.7 FM's first exclusive movie promotion tie up with Yashraj's Films' TaraRumPum has been very well received by the industry and listeners.

Speaking on the occasion, Big 92.7 FM national programming head Manav Dhanda said "It is Big 92.7 FM's endeavor to reach out to a larger section of audiences and increase our listenership base and this initiative will give us the edge to do so. Music is one of the most important ingredients in our Radio format and through this we will have a great range of assortment to offer our listeners."

Big 92.7 FM is part of Adlabs Films. Ltd. The Station heard in 45 cities, 1000 towns and 50,000 villages to reach 200 million Indians across the length and breadth of the country. The company plans to take FM radio as a medium of entertainment not only to the key metros, but also to markets that have never before experienced this medium of entertainment.
