MUMBAI: American Greetings Properties, the IP and outbound
licensing division of US company American Greetings,
has partnered with Mike Young Productions and DQ Entertainment
to create a new CGI animation television series for
its Twisted Whiskers property.
In
total, 26 half-hour episodes will be created by the
new partnership and the series will be distributed to
broadcasters by Taffy Entertainment.
It
also follows a 2004 edict mandating that Chinese cartoons
had to account for at least 60 per cent of a channel’s
animation output.
