Buyers can expect greater supply, with
100 per cent of surveyed Greater China and
South Korea manufacturers of CCTV digital
video recorders planning to increase production
capacity:
- 40 per cent of suppliers plan to increase
capacity by 100 per cent or more;
- 7 per cent plan increases of between 50
and 100 per cent and;
- 53 per cent plan to increase capacity
by up to 50 per cent.
Manufacturers cited fierce competition
as a key factor in their expectations of
lower prices in the coming year. More than
half of surveyed makers project declines:
- 62 per cent say prices will likely decline
in the next 12 months;
- 25 per cent foresee stable prices and;
- 13 per cent expect price increases.
