MUMBAI: Shemaroo Video has released VCDs and DVDs of The
Legend of Buddha. This was India's entry in the animated
film category for 2005 Oscar Awards.
Produced by Pentamedia Graphics in collaboration with The
Economic Development Board of Singapore, the film takes viewers
through life of 'The Enlightened One'. From a fun - filled
childhood to the difficult journey of attaining Nirvana; the
story involve scenes of family values and principles for the
younger generation.
Shemaroo Video VP Hiren Gada said, "We have always endeavored
to release titles that not only provide high quality entertainment
for children but also make them familiar with values to be learned
from Indian mythology. Releasing Legend of Buddha is
yet another example of the same. Shemaroo has always been enthusiastic
about acquiring and launching good animated titles and has released
titles like Sinbad-Beyond the Veil of Mists, Son of
Aladdin, Alibaba and Pandavas in the past."
TThe DVDs of Legend of Buddha carry English and Hindi audio
