According to reliable sources, Jaideep will take charge from 15
November. Prior to this assignment, he was heading Asianet's news
division.
Malayala Manorama is also finalising the content framework for the
channel. Apart from the regular news telecasts and current affairs
programmes, MM TV will stress on chat shows, business news with
an auto section, technology and sports. It will also offer a minimum
dose of entertainment, though a company source refuses to classify
it as an 'infotainment' channel.
The channel will be headed by a member of the Malayala Manorama
family. MM TV is targeting a March-April 2006 launch. The channel
is planning to put its entire news team in place by December, the
source added.
