Phillips launches India's first mobile DVD player

MUMBAI: Phillips Electronics India, a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based Royal Phillips Electronics has introduced the Mobile DVD Player Pet 710. It claims to be the only consumer durable brand in the country to currently offer a product in this category.

 
 

The company says that there is an increasing need for ‘entertainment on the move’. The new Philips Mobile DVD Player Pet 710 makes travelling a pleasure and keeps kids occupied by letting them watch their favourite movies.

Philips Electronics India director audio and video business group – consumer electronics Gunjan Srivastava says, “The Mobile DVD Player PET 710 is a ‘must-have’ and a boon for parents who have cars and drive their kids around in them”.

 
 

The rechargeable battery of the Philips PET 710 has a standby time of 2.5 hours and also has a car cigarette outlet adaptor so that the battery can be charged while travelling in the car for unlimited entertainment. The built-in electronic skip protection helps avoid the video and audio "hiccups" that can arise from vibration and bumps often experienced while using your DVD player in a moving vehicle.

The Philips Mobile DVD PET 710 plays virtually all formats like DVD, DVD+RW, DVD+R, Picture CD, SVCD, Video CD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-CD. The functions on the Philips PET 710 include ‘Disc Menu’, ‘Fast Backward’, ‘Fast Forward’, ‘Repeat’, ‘Shuffle Play’, ‘Slow Backward’, ‘Slow Forward’, ‘Zoom’. It also has a battery life indicator.
