BANGALORE: The Garden City will play host to Nasscom ITES-BPO Strategy event for the third time in succession. The summit, with the theme 'Global Leadership and Operational Excellence', will be held from 7 June to 8 June.

Nasscom president Kiran Karnik said, "Indian ITES-BPO sector continues to grow from strength to strength, witnessing high levels of activity, and increasingly adding to higher value-added activities like Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO). The ITES-BPO exports are estimated to have reached US$ 5.1 billion in 2004-05. There is enormous customer interest - both captive and third party vendors are adding capacity - and the mood is upbeat."

"The industry today is set for the next level of success and expansion. The focus will be on customer service, change management, and operational excellence. Nasscom ITES-BPO summit this year will provide a platform for both third-party and captive vendors to probe and dwell upon the issues and challenges for securing global leadership," he added.

The two-day event will feature two exclusive platforms for the CEOs and the operational heads. CEOs Conclave on day one will bring together the CEOs of leading ITES-BPO companies to discuss business leadership issues. Day two seminar on operational excellence will feature focused discussions on operational challenges of Human Resource, Security, Technology and Benchmarking.

A number of innovative sessions like managing investor expectations in a hyper-competitive environment, and Aspiration 4x4: Capturing the Global Opportunity with McKinsey & Co have been planned for this year.
