MUMBAI: SmartVideo Technologies has associated with E! Entertainment Television to provide entertainment news and lifestyle content to smart devices. As per the deal, E! Entertainment will deliver its programming utilizing SmartVideo's state-of-the-art streaming technology.

SmartVideo offers technology that enables fluid motion, fully synched live video and audio broadcasts, even on phones running on current 2.5G cellular networks. Thanks to the successful launch of the more robust 3G networks in the U.S., SmartVideo can provide 3G-capable phones with a minimum of 24 frames per second and virtual broadcast-quality of at least 28 FPS on Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Already close to 70 million phones in the U.S. are equipped with media players that support the SmartVideo system, states an official release.

SmartVideo Technologies offers services for broadcasting live, on-demand and download-and-play television content for mobile video consumers around the world. As per the deal, SmartVideo customers will have access to the latest celebrity and entertainment news content, including clips from E! News, The Awful Truth, Red Carpet Moments and Wild On, the release adds.

E! Entertainment joins such content providers as ABC News, ABC NewsNow, NBC Universal (CNBC, MSNBC and NBC Mobile), The Weather Channel, FOX Sports Network, IFILM, Fashion TV and DIC, as well as others. E! will be part of the basic package which will be available for as little as $12.95 per month.
