Pakistan will miss the services of their skipper and premier batsman,
Inzamam-ul Haq, and all-rounder Shoaib Malik, both serving a one-Test
match ban. Inzamam was imposed a one-Test ban by ICC for excessive
appealing and showing dissent during his last Test against India
in Bangalore, while Shoaib was disciplined by the Pakistan Cricket
Board for throwing a domestic 20/20 match in Lahore prior to the
team's departure for the series. Younis Khan will lead the young
Pakistani side in the absence of Inzamam.
West Indies will be bolstered by the return of world record holder
Brian Lara, who was rested for the three one-day internationals
against Pakistan. However, recent history will be against the West
Indies, who have lost their last four Test matches at Kensington
Oval, the release adds.
