MUMBAI: MTV US and actress-cum-singer Jennifer Lopez have teamed up for J-Lo's first fashion show. The special will showcase Lopez's new fall clothing line. It airs on 24 February.

Jennifer Lopez: Beyond the Runway is an hour-long MTV special that will give viewers access to this triple-threat star through interweaved documentary footage showing Jennifer’s very hands-on approach in running her company, while juggling her already demanding schedule.

MTV cameras will capture Jennifer’s vision for the line’s overall 'look' and 'feel' and her meticulous involvement in the styling choices and choosing the models. Viewers will be privy to all the intricate details, including how the team works, the deadline pressures, the approval process and dramatic creative redirections. The special will conclude with a star-studded event, the most anticipated fashion show at Olympus Fashion Week.

Lopez, whose movie career was put on the skids thanks to Gigli said, "I really think this is going to be a re-birth for us -- a big step. I’ve had a passion for fashion for so long. I am that girl who comes from the street, who comes from the Bronx, but has traveled the world and can bring all of those glamorous qualities, so it’s like a sexy street glamour."

As a singer Lopez has sold over 35 million records worldwide. She will release her new album Rebirth on 1 March.
