Filippouli will be a news
anchor at the channel's headquarters in Doha, one of Al Jazeera International's
four regional broadcast centres strategically placed across the world. The other
centres are in Kuala Lumpur, London and Washington DC.
She specializes
in international issues and political interviews and has interviewed a number
of high level personalities from around the world including Ted Turner, James
Rubin, Dr Deepak Chopra, Mohamed El Baradei, Chris Cramer, Al Gore, Susan Sarandon,
Christianne Amanpour, Peter Arnett and Sheikh Omar Backer Mohammed. Earlier,
the English news channel has roped in big faces such as the television host, author
and producer Sir David Frost as a presenter and CNN anchor Riz Khan. |
