This was confirmed to indiantelevision.com by a Aaj Tak
senior executive.
Zaman submitted his resignation yesterday, and according to company
sources, his resignation is likely to be accepted.
In all probability, Zaman, like former Aaj Tak man in Mumbai Milind
Khandekar, is heading towards Star News, which is now headed by
former Aaj Tak new director Uday Shankar.
Zaman's resignation is in tandem with a series of quitting, which
are taking place in Aaj Tak, of people who had been brought in during
Shankar's time. Industry sources say that after Zaman's departure,
some other senior professionals, who had been brought to the channel
during Shankar's time may also be leaving.
