Malayalam channel Asianet enters Africa

MUMBAI: Malayalam language channel Asianet has entered the African market. The channel is now available in South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Botswana, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.

 
 

The channel has entered Africa through Globecast using Europstar-1 satellite. It is DTH with Viaccess encryption. The subscription rate is 145 Rand per month.

Globally Asianet is already available in Sri Lanka, China, the South East Asia, the entire Persian Gulf, the UK, Europe, USA and the lower half of the former Soviet Union.

 
 

The channel has also launched a website www.asianetafrica.co.za/ to guide interested customers.
