NEW DELHI: DD News consulting editor Deepak Chaurasia and a few other contractual employees have decided that they would leave the organisation before the situation gets too messy. The decision is expected to be conveyed to senior Prasar Bharati officials within this week.

According to industry sources, two of the contractual employees in DD News, Sanjiv Paliwal and Vibhakar, are likely to join a proposed news channel being planned by the Dainik Jagran group. Chaurasia was not available for comment.

However, it is not clear whether some of the contractual employees of DD News, in the eye of a storm for being allegedly close to the previous government, would serve out their respective notice periods or not.

For example, Chaurasia's agreement says that a three month notice has to be given by either side to terminate the agreement.
