After Kora Kagaz and Kangan on
Star Plus, Parekh has now made Kuch Pal Saath Tumhara for Sahara,
in partnership with another Bollywood veteran, Shammi Aunty, under
their banner Akruti Production. Written by Rajesh Saksham, the soap
is about an orphan girl, who lives at her father’s friend’s home.
The younger son, an air force officer, takes a liking to her. They
get married, after which he leaves to fight for his country. He is
subsequently killed in action. The story then revolves around what
happens to the wife and the family he has left behind.
The half hour weekly serial is expected to hit the airwaves by May,
say industry sources.
The music for the soap has been composed by Usha Khanna, lyrics have
been penned by Nida Fazli, while Ajit Patnaik has created the sets,
and Cartlon D’Mello contributes to the cinematography. |
