Liberty Media to keep share of DirecTV Group at 48 percent

Liberty Media Corp. won't increase its ownership stake in satellite broadcaster DirecTV Group Inc. beyond the 48 percent controlling interest it already owns, the companies said.

In a first-quarter earnings conference call with Wall Street analysts Thursday, Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei said the company agreed not to increase its stake in an agreement with DirecTV's board of directors.
